3- Regarding Housing Prices
Based upon the following reports in the news regarding prices of real estate in Israel, the best advice we can give you is buy now while prices are stable and owners are still flexible, and make aliya to save money on your purchase tax.

1- The State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman published the audit report on national economics and infrastructure in October.
The significant increase in housing prices in the country from the beginning of 2008 to the end of 2020 …has created a crisis in the housing sector. One of the reasons for the rise in housing prices is the shortage of housing units.

2- The Jerusalem Post on October 19, 2021 published an article written by Zev Stub with the title “Home Prices Up 9.2% over the past year”.
Home prices in Israel rose another 1.2% during July August, bringing the price increase over the past 12 months to 9.2%, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics. Prices rose most sharply in Jerusalem (10.7%) and central Israel (10.5%).
The price of new homes rose 0.6% during July – August, and 11.8% over the past year.
The construction inputs index, which tracks changes in the cost of building materials and labor and affects prices of apartments under construction, rose 0.3% September and 4.5% over the past 12 months.
Economists are generally in agreement that housing prices will continue to rise in the coming years due to the high demand and lack of supply in the housing market.

3- Purchase Tax – As of  Monday, November 1, the Knesset passed the 1st reading raising the purchase tax to 8% for second apartment and for foreigners from 6%.
