Question: It is reported that real estate prices are going down in Israel. We are thinking of waiting to purchase. What do you advise?

Prices are going down!  
Well, not exactly. Due to high interest rate on mortgages and high prices, there has been a decrease in the number of sales. Prices have become more flexible however not everywhere.
There are ‘in demand’ neighborhoods that have a shortage of properties and the prices are not going down as in other neighborhoods. In Rechavia and adjacent neighborhoods going toward the Old City, prices can go to NIS 85,000 sqm and in Geula a certain project goes to NIS 115,000 sqm.

Buyers who are flexible as to neighborhoods can find properties within their budget.  Looking in the ‘in demand’ neighborhoods, it’s a situation of supply and demand. 
We don’t know how future world events will affect real estate prices in Israel.
In the past, prices have been stable or have gone up.
